A photograph is a visual remembrance, our link with the past. Today technology aids in preserving these delicate materials through digital restorative processes and by creating copies that can be viewed by many people,both locally and around the world. Digitization and multiple copies also enable the Library to keep the original photographs in storage, safe from the environment and from further deterioration. With a generous contribution byThe Riverview Cemetery Association, the Library has identified a variety of photographs for preservation and placed the more excellent examples on the web for all to view.
