East Haddam People People move into a town, help build it and shape it and then fade into memory. Yet every day something they had accomplished impacts our lives. It is important to keep the memories alive for posterity, whether through the written record or through photographs. Many of the photographs were donated to the Library over the years; a number of them have been culled from the Peck family scrapbooks (Mrs. Peck was the first librarian of the Rathbun when it opened in 1935).
